Today is one of those days you wake up and everything outside is beautiful. The trees are green, the roses are in in bloom, -- Summer is finally here. This summer beauty inspired me to write, so here I am.
Jaime and I are embarking on many wonderful journeys, and so I thought I would attempt to keep a running blog throughout. Our first year of newlywed bliss has been wonderful. The wedding was an incredible, emotional, exciting, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Both Jaime and I feel so lucky to have all the support from our friends and families throughout that journey. But since the wedding it has been rather quiet---in a good way! Jaime and I are getting used to "normal" life again. (And by normal I mean life without constant seating chart planning, cake tastings and endless parties.) It has felt so good to relax and enjoy this great city we live in.
Jaime started two vegetable beds this year. He is growing Peas, Carrots, Lettuce, Squash, Tomatoes, Corn, Onions, and a variety of Herbs. It has been so nice with the recent burst of sunshine! We can go out side and pick our salads fresh. It just tastes incredible. His garden has really been such an addition to our home. I love it here. Portland is beautiful.
